There are many types of "tire" bases. The common ones are polyester felt (i.e. polyester tire), glass fiber felt, glass fiber reinforced polyester felt, composite felt, copper tire base, etc. At present, the commonly used tire bases on the market are polyester felt and copper tire base. Polyester tire is a kind of non-woven fabric, which can also be called polyester linoleum base cloth, tire base cloth, linoleum base cloth and waterproof base cloth. Polyester tire can be divided into long-fiber polyester tire and short-fiber polyester tire.

The shape of staple polyester tire is cloth type. It is a kind of non-woven fabric product made of 100% polyester staple fiber through carding into mesh, needle reinforcement, dipping and setting. The long-fiber polyester tire is made of strong polyester chips as raw materials, which are sprayed by equipment, reinforced by needle, and impregnated by glue. It is a new type of tire base cloth for making modified asphalt waterproof coiled material, and is the darling of the waterproof industry and the construction industry.

Long-fiber polyester tire is the main tire base of popular waterproof coiled materials (SBS, APP coating) at present. It can be subdivided into 200g, 250g and 320g according to weight. Generally, 200g polyester tire is used for SBS-I products and 250g polyester tire is used for SBS-II products.

High strength polyester tire and copper foil composite tire base adopts multi-layer composite structure, and the functions of each layer are complementary. The copper ion in the tire base has the effect of inhibiting the growth of the top of plant roots, affecting the growth direction of plant roots, and cooperating with chemical root inhibitors, it plays a dual role of root inhibition.

As the reinforcing layer, the composite copper foil base reasonably and effectively improves the physical and mechanical properties of the waterproof roll, strengthens the function of the roll itself to resist external damage or application, and ensures the waterproof effect and service life of the root puncture resistant waterproof roll.

The copper base has very high compressive strength and excellent tensile resistance. The root resistance and waterproof effect are very good. It has high tensile strength, strong impermeability, stable and reliable function, and can ensure the waterproof effect and service life of the root puncture resistant waterproof roll.

The basic body of the tire has the characteristics of high strength and high elongation, which can significantly improve various performance indicators of the asphalt coiled material, including the appearance quality and internal quality reference items. Its various indicators are connected with the provisions of the waterproof standard, and also provide support for the finished shape of the coiled material, ensuring the dimensional stability of the coiled material. There are also special functions provided by some special tire bases, which provide a new direction for the innovation of coiled materials.
